Clarissa Binkley P.ENG., B.A.SC., M.A.SC.
My building science experience began from the energy perspective, studying trends in building energy use and correlations ranging from the form of the building enclosure, to efficacy of retrofit and rehabilitation projects, to occupant comfort and behavior. This understanding of how building design decisions influence the in-service functioning of individual buildings and the collective building stock has formed the foundation for my decade of experience in building science.
My consulting experience has allowed me to apply my understanding of building performance in both new construction projects and existing building projects in climate zones across North America. While the principles of building science have remained a constant, it is the unique variety of different types of construction, materials, stakeholders, and project constraints that keep my passion for building science going.
