I started at JRS Engineering (now 4EA Building Science) in 2012. Prior to that, my entry into the world of building science began in 2005 with condominium rehabilitation projects throughout Seattle. The focus of my current work with 4EA is on existing buildings.

This work includes building enclosure condition assessments, forensic investigations, and infrared thermography, as well as, design and construction administration on reroof, reclad, and repair projects. I enjoy the interactions with homeowners’ associations, property managers, building owners, and contractors that are a vital part of my work.

Over the course of my career, I have enjoyed watching and participating in the improvement of building enclosures, as building codes, materials, and industry best practices have changed. One of my projects with 4EA includes Seattle’s third multi-family passive house building. Project rehabilitation and system replacement are some of the best opportunities to decrease energy use and related operating costs.
