Ts’zil Learning Centre
The Ts’zil Learning Centre is an educational facility located in Mount Currie, British Columbia. The center provides learning opportunities such as trades training, career certification, and university credit courses. The new facility opened in 2018 and serves a vital role in the Lilwat nation and local community.
We provided building enclosure consulting services for the design and construction of the Learning Centre. The building enclosure includes conventional 2-ply SBS with sections of standing seam metal roofing, glazing includes a feature curtain wall and conventional vinyl punched windows. Cladding is fibre cement installed in a rainscreen manner.
Scott Croasdale worked with the design and construction team to ensure the expected performance of the building enclosure was balanced with schedule and cost. Part of the Ts’zil Learning Centre’s purpose is to provide vocational training. In support of Murphy Construction, 4EA participated in mock-ups that formed part of the training of local trades.
