Hans Rosling Center for Population Health at the University of Washington
An exceptional campus cornerstone delivered through progressive integrated design-build, this project features target-value design and a risk-reward partnership.
As a Risk-Reward team member, 4EA was able to Be Thoughtful and collaborate with the many stakeholders involved throughout design and construction. 4EA was deeply involved in the unitized curtain wall facade design and construction. This included attending laboratory performance mock-ups and multiple trips to both the glass plant and curtain wall assembly plant to witness and review the quality control during production.
4EA also helped analyze the design for thermal bridging effects, allowing for the energy design to better account for the real-world thermal performance and optimize a strategy to make important detail decisions regarding thermal bridging.
