1330 Cloudburst

1330 Cloudburst is a residents-restricted rental building by the Whistler Housing Authority. Constructed in 2020 the project is three stories of wood framing over a single-level underground parking garage containing 45 residential units.

The project was constructed to exceed Step 3 of the BC Step Code and includes exterior insulation, high-performance triple-glazed windows and doors, and a high level of air tightness. Sustainable design features include a rooftop deck, green roof, and photovoltaic array.

Scott Croasdale from 4EA continued our long-standing relationship with the design, construction, and ownership teams by assisting in the design and construction of the enclosure in a collaborative process. This included enhanced filed reviews and window testing. We also designed the methane barrier system, observed it during the installation, and tested it upon completion.
