Join us for the first annual DESC Impact Short Film Festival

4EA is proudly sponsoring the first-ever short film festival presented by Seattle’s Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) this Thursday, September 23 at 7 p.m. We are excited to offer the $500 Social Justice Award to the film that best depicts the idea of social justice and the balance between individuals and society.

The virtual event will consist of a broad range of amateur and professional short films (under 10 minutes each) that focus on the impact of homelessness. Per DESC, the festival “celebrates the fact that everyone can have an impact on homelessness, whether that helps one individual or effects systemic change.” Four total awards will be given to finalists based on criteria set by DESC.

As with any major city, the struggles of homelessness are an important topic for Seattle. 4EA is devoted to assisting housing operators and architects in developing and maintaining affordable housing on the West Coast. DESC is a valued client, and we celebrate our current work on Hobson Place and Bitter Lake Supportive Housing.

Registration to attend the virtual festival is available via Zoom, and more information can be found on the DESC website.
